Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By opening TempMailer.net, generating an address or reading an inbox, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. There is no registration step, so use is the only signal of acceptance we have.

2. What you get

A randomly generated email address on one of our domains and a secret link to its inbox. A standard address lives for 24 hours from creation; an address from the 10 Minute Mail page lives for 10 minutes. Pressing the extend button restarts that lifetime from the moment you press it — it does not stack on top of the time remaining. The service costs nothing and no payment is ever taken.

3. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be up, that a given message will arrive, that it will arrive quickly, that it will arrive intact, or that anything already delivered will still be there when you come back. Attachments over the size limit are dropped on arrival. Mail addressed to an expired mailbox is rejected outright and is not stored or queued. Nothing in these terms limits rights that mandatory consumer law in your country gives you and does not allow us to exclude.

4. Addresses are ephemeral and non-recoverable

The inbox link is the only key to an inbox. There is no account, no password, no recovery flow and no support process that can return an inbox to you if you lose the link. When a mailbox expires it stops receiving mail permanently; we cannot revive it or move its address to a new one. While a mailbox record exists its address cannot be handed to anyone else, but once expired records are purged the same random address may in principle be generated again for another user in the future. Never use a TempMailer address as the recovery address for an account you intend to keep.

5. Inbox contents are not private

Inboxes are protected only by the secrecy of their link. Anyone who has or finds that link can read every message, download every attachment and watch new mail arrive in real time. Our staff can also see stored mail when investigating abuse or responding to a legal request. You use the service on the understanding that anything sent to a TempMailer address is effectively public, and you agree not to send or invite anything confidential, sensitive or regulated to one. 6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service:

• for anything illegal under any law that applies to you or to us, or to receive, store or distribute illegal material of any kind;
• to send, solicit or support spam, phishing, malware, fraud, scams or impersonation of another person or organisation;
• to evade a ban, suspension, block or other enforcement action on another service, or to create accounts in breach of another service's terms — including bulk or automated sign-ups, trial abuse and vote or referral manipulation;
• to harass, threaten, defame or endanger anyone, or to receive material relating to the exploitation of children;
• to attack, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service, to scrape it, to script address creation, or to work around rate limits by rotating IP addresses, proxies or sessions;
• to resell, rebrand or commercially redistribute the service. Programmatic access exists but is granted only under a separate arrangement with issued credentials.

You are responsible for what you do with an address you generate here, including any consequence with the third-party service you used it on.

7. Rate limiting, blocking and abuse

We rate limit address creation per IP address and may throttle, block or permanently refuse any IP address, network or user, with or without notice and without giving a reason. We may inspect, remove or refuse to deliver stored content when investigating an abuse report or complying with a legal obligation, and we may retain records of abuse for as long as needed to prevent it recurring. We may also withdraw individual domains from the service at any time.

8. Third-party services

Many websites deliberately block disposable email domains, and some treat their use as a breach of their own terms. Whether a given service accepts a TempMailer address is entirely up to them. We do not guarantee that any address will be accepted anywhere, and we are not responsible for an account you lose, a signup you cannot complete or a message that a third party never sends.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data, lost messages, lost accounts, lost profits or lost opportunity, arising out of or connected with the service — whether the claim is in contract, tort or otherwise, and whether or not we were told the loss was possible. The service is free; where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, which is nothing.

10. Changes and availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including address lifetimes, available domains, limits and features. We may also update these terms; the current version always lives at this URL with its date at the top, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

11. Severability and contact
